ALL IN ALLEGHENY

Community Survey

In the first three months of 2024, we heard from nearly 19,000 residents about what they want and need from County government – and through intentional outreach, we heard from people of every race, ethnicity, age, and income level. We heard from people living in all 130 municipalities in the County. People shared their priorities in all major languages spoken here. Residents who have lived in Allegheny for decades and people who have just arrived in the last year participated. And we heard from homeowners and from people who are currently unhoused. We are proud and grateful to say that All In Allegheny was the largest, most diverse, and most inclusive community engagement initiative this county has ever seen.

The survey was developed by the Innamorato Transition Committee, a diverse group of nearly 200 community members, and translated into nine languages most commonly spoken in Allegheny County. The survey was available both online and via paper, and distributed by a group of community-based organizations who delivered the survey directly to residents through door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and tabling.
